The challenge

A global SEO strategy that got stuck on tech

For a global player like Vetus, expert in maritime systems, a strong online presence in local markets is crucial. The strategy was clear: all key product and landing pages had to be perfectly localised in 13 languages to unlock maximum SEO impact. The ambition was there and the marketing team was ready, but growth stalled.

The cause sat deep in the architecture of the WordPress site. Every page was built from dozens of separate blocks (Gutenberg and Advanced Custom Fields). This made translating one page into 12 extra languages an extremely time-consuming and error-prone process of 2 to 3 working days. The content was there. The demand was there, in 13 languages. Only the bridge between them was missing - translating and localising simply took too much time.

What standard tools couldn't do, and how AI solved it

The team had already tried the obvious routes, without success.

Plugins delivered poor quality

Standard translation plugins like WPML translate piece by piece and miss the context of the full page. Result: mediocre, inaccurate translations that lose SEO value, require manual corrections and weaken the brand story in every new language.

Generic AI only made it worse

Copying page code into an LLM like ChatGPT looks fast, but consistently breaks the strict WordPress structure with ACF fields, shortcodes and custom blocks. The result: broken layouts, lost components and pages that have to be manually rebuilt.

Our approach

Solving the problem at the core

We developed 'Transletus': a custom AI-powered web application that quickly and flawlessly translates complex WordPress pages while preserving the code structure. The software separates the content from the code, has the best LLMs do the translation, and inserts the translated content back into the original structure without errors.

Code-aware translation

The tool recognises and ignores ACF and Gutenberg code. Only textual content is translated, guaranteeing 100% integrity of the page structure.

Multi-LLM comparison

The team selects and compares output from the latest AI models (Gemini, GPT-5, etc.) to guarantee the best quality per language.

Custom briefings & glossaries

Fixed translations for Vetus terminology ("bow thruster" = "boegschroef") ensure absolute brand consistency in every market.

Full control

User management, version control and direct export functions hand full control back to the marketing team, so they can publish whenever they want.

Transletus in action

A look under the hood

A look at the three core steps: text selection, settings and AI comparison.

Transletus - Step 1: text selection
1 / 4

Step 1 - Select segments to translate directly from the WordPress code.

Transletus - Step 2: settings
2 / 4

Step 2 - Choose target languages, AI models and briefings per language.

Transletus - Step 3: compare
3 / 4

Step 3 - Compare translations from multiple AI models side by side.

Transletus - Step 3: lock
4 / 4

Step 3 - Lock in the best translation per language and export.

The results

Speed, scalability and full control

  • A 2-3 day process is reduced to under 30 minutes.
  • In a single afternoon the team rolls out multiple pages across 13 languages, finally executing the SEO strategy.
  • Marketers are no longer dependent on a cumbersome technical process and publish whenever they want.

"Leadstoscale didn't think in limitations, but in solutions. Where we got stuck on technology, they built the breakthrough that made our global content strategy not just possible, but scalable."
